Question: I’ve put pink text on top of a maroon background (using paintshop pro)& the resulting image is blurred around the text edges. how can i avoid this? would making two layers solve the problem? does jpg support this or does jpg merge the layers?
Answer: If you have a oily looking image effect, it may be because you are saving the images as a JPEG when it should be saved in indexed color as a GIF. If your image can be saved as a gif, it will be faster loading, as well as, create a crisper image. Most large photographs need to be JPEG format, but if you can live with it being a GIF, then do so. Images with fewer colors can usually be saved as a GIF.
